Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
The Air Excellence team provides Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and Buteyko Breathing geared toward improving how people of all ages breathe, eat, sleep and more.
Through Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), we can help improve the use of your facial and oral muscles to improve quality of life. By starting these therapies at an early age, you can prevent poor habits or more quickly improve the function of your lips, teeth, tongue and jaw. However, at any phase of life, OMT can provide relief and help you breathe, eat, swallow and live better.
The primary goals of OMT include:
- Improved rest and muscle position: improve how your lips, teeth, tongue and jaw work together, at rest and when in use.
- Retrain muscles: strengthen and retrain the muscles of your face, lips, tongue and jaw for improved function whether you’re at rest or awake.
- Improve oral habits: transform bad habits into behaviors that promote healthier use of your lips, teeth, tongue and jaw.
